On August 2nd, WordPress published an unscheduled release that fixed 29 small bugs. According to the information they’ve included, it doesn’t look like any of them were security fixes, but as they often do, they may be holding back security related news until the community as a whole has had enough time to upgrade and protect themselves before disclosing the vulnerabilities to those who may misuse them. In addition to the update to WordPress, just under a dozen of the plugins regularly used on these websites were updated to stay in sync with the new release.
I have made all updates as of August 6th, and will be watching for stragglers. I have tested all sites, but if you run across anything that isn’t working right, please contact me immediately.
Thanks!
