WordPress 4.2.3 was released on July 23, 2015.

This is a Security and Maintenance release aimed at patching a couple of security holes as well as fixing 20 bugs from previous releases. For information on what new features will await you in this new release, visit:

Since this is a security update, plugins should update rather quickly. Once all of your website’s plugins are updated or confirmed compatible with the new software, I will contact you personally to set up an upgrade date.

WordPress 4.2.2 was released on May 6, 2015.

This is a Critical Security Release.

Because of the nature of this release, this update may be rolled out faster than normal, and checks against plugins and themes may be ignored if they take too long to confirm compatibility. Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if GoDaddy pushes this update automatically in order to protect their services as a whole. More information on this release can be found here:
